WILL WE FACILITATE THE ACCESS OF THE DISABLED TO THE HOUSING ENVIRONMENT?

The Ministry of Labor and Social Policy (MLSP) will finance 39 projects for accessible housing for people with disabilities and 4 projects for personal mobility.
The projects will be implemented under the National Program for Affordable Housing and Personal Mobility.
The contracts for the financing of the 43 approved project proposals will be signed in a short period of time, so that by the end of 2019 the activities included in them can be implemented and paid for by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy.
The approved proposals have a total value of BGN 1,841,343. With their implementation, 100% of the submitted project proposals that meet the conditions of the program will be implemented and almost all of its resources for 2019 will be used.
The campaign for the recruitment of project proposals took place in the period 21 August – 30 September 2019. In this period, a total of 62 proposals were received. Of these, 55 are for building an accessible environment, and the remaining 7 for personal mobility.
All proposals are reviewed for eligibility and evaluated by committees. 19 projects were not admitted for evaluation.
Disqualified applicants are notified in writing of the specific reasons why their proposals were not evaluated, ranked and offered for funding.
