On 04/04/2022 at 08:30 a.m. in the Business Incubator building, located at 47 “Republicanska” Street, Kardzhali, a seminar on “Accessible Tourism for All” will be held, organized within the framework of a project with ref. No. 2044 “Paths for accessible tourism” /Access2Heritage/, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and by the national funds of the countries participating in the Cross-Border Cooperation Program INTERREG V-A Greece-Bulgaria 2014-2020.
The event is hosted by the “Regional Youth Parliament – Karzhdali” Association.
The event aims to raise public awareness of accessible and sustainable tourism in the cross-border area between Greece and Bulgaria, to outline the needs of people with disabilities in terms of tourism, to consider examples of good practices and opportunities for cooperation.
During the seminar, the legal framework in Bulgaria will be examined, including The Law on Tourism, the Law on Persons with Disabilities and the regulations for its implementation, as well as the regulation on determining the requirements for accessibility and universal design of elements for the accessible environment.
